The California Center for Movement Legal Services provides legal services in the pursuit of improving the lives of California's traditionally underserved residents, including communities of color, low-income and working families, and  undocumented people, by carrying out legal work that fosters organic leadership development, policy creation, robust civic participation, and broad community empowerment through community organizing. For four years, we’ve had great success crafting novel legislation based on community needs, bringing impact cases out of community organizing campaigns, and advising and defending the tenant movement and its participants organizers in court.
